Thought I would show......

some pic's of where we have been lately. This one is in New York, it's downtown Saratoga (boy what fun that was to drive in-----not!!!)

Well now we are in Joplin,MO. Will be here til tomorrow morning. We got to stop in Wyoming at the rest area (in between Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs), which I was so glad. I have been trying so many times to get a pic of Lincoln's Monument with no success, but this time I insisted we stop to take some pic's of it. The view is Outstanding!!
We are at the Petro Truck Stop, that's where the "Trick My Truck" from CMT is done at, well at least that's where they stop and take someone's truck and totally makes it over. Sure hope I get to see some of those redone trucks come in.
We went through Kansas City last week and of course it was stormy as we were coming in, in fact hubby and I seen a funnel cloud form and then it disappeared, that was totally awesome then freaky to see. I won't be home this time til June 20th, so hopefully will be able to post some more things when I can.
Here is some pic's of Lincoln's monument and some statues of a bear and antelope that was at the rest area/travel center. Also a couple pic's of the World of Fun in Mo., plus the stormy skies in KC, and a real nice sunset.

We are in Rawlins Wyoming, heading towards Detroit Michigan. Got to feed a prairie dog this morning at a rest area here in Wyoming. Boy it's cold today, ran into some snow this morning in the mountains, but now it's partly to mostly sunny and very windy. I am sitting at a truck stop, watching the cattle eat, with the mountains in the background. Having such a great time traveling to states that I have never been to. Utah is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! Hope to get to come back to that state.

Now I haven't crocheted much, don't think I have enough yarn for the shawl I am making for my swap partner, and no luck at finding any of the color either. So I am trying to decide to I go as far as I can without a point at the end, or do I just restart the thing over. What to do? Decisions, decisions!!

Will post my new slide show as soon as I get the thing up and running for you all to see some of the new mountains and that little prairie dog too.

Of our trip across country. I am home now for only couple more days though, will be going again since I had a good time. Now granted I don't like heights and of course we took the scenic route we just happened to come across a bridge that was under construction, and I had a panic attack and had take the picture from the back of the truck. Oh and we got stuck on the very top of it (there was a stop light on the very top). Sat there for 10 minutes.

I am almost finished with the shawl I am making for my swap partner, sure hope she likes it when I send it out. Hopefully I can get it done in the next day and get it mailed out by Tuesday.

I am on the road with my hubby. Right now we are at Stratford Missouri. We are about an hr or so away from our drop off point. Rick paid for wifi for the night so I could check my email and stuff.

This picture is of the bridge going across the Mississippi River (Illinois/Missouri State Line). Yes Shari, it was freaky but I made it fine. And the other pic is of the mountains just crossing over into Missouri, I swear you could reach out and touch it. LOL

Oh and I started my shawl today in Illinois for my swap partner also. Will write more when I get a chance. Happy Crocheting!!

Well just found out that my hubby is flying(which he hates) to Cleveland Ohio to pick up his truck. Yeah he is coming home. He should be home around 4 or 5 am Saturday April 21. Then he will be home for five days and then I leave to go on the road with him for fourteen days. Happy Crocheting!!

Well I finished the round ripple, took the pic then loaned out my camera to my brother, so as soon as I get it back, I will post the pic.

I have started another round ripple for my other niece, this one is being done in yellow, varigated purple and a light purple. So far it's looking good. Then I have a little girl that my sister in law babysits that asked if I would make her one is pink and green. Not sure what that one will look like.

Just found out that one of my step daughters is having TWINS!!! We knew that the three girls was all pregnant, so looks like I will have to make double stuff.

My hubby will be home hopefully Saturday or Sunday, tomorrow will be four weeks he has been gone. For those that don't know, he is driving a semi truck and has been gone with a trainer. Can't wait to see him again. Yes I am counting down the days!!

When he comes home, he will be home for five days, then taking me with him for fourteen (14) days, will be posting pics of what I see also.

Here is the update of the new round ripple afghan that I am making. I am using Red Heart yarn in Bon Bon Print, Pretty Pink and Lavendar, using an I hook. So far I am liking this afghan.

Currently I am making another round ripple (love doing these) in petal pink, purple and bon bon print all in Red Heart yarn and an I hook. Will show my progress on this as I go along.

I am also doing a shawl for my swap partner, which I still need to get the yarn for.
The dish cloth swap is done, just going to mail it hopefully tomorrow depending on the weather. Since we are getting SNOW!!! Can't believe it's the 11th of April and it is snowing. Also hope to send out my squares to the rest of the people for the square swap tomorrow. Wow I guess I am ahead of schedule on that one.

I made the Spiderman Round Ripple, but didn't do the webbing on it since I was told it didn't need the webbing. May still add it when I find the time to do that. I used a I hook and Red Heart Cherry red, blue and black. It came out from point to point 60 inches. This Cardigan I finally finished, actually finished it over Easter weekend. The only change I made was using an I hook instead of an H hook., which made it a medium size. I used Red Heart Plush in the color Bluebird. Now just need to get some buttons to finish it off.

Currently I am working on a cardigan. All that needs to be done is the sleeves. Been working on it for a couple of days. The pattern is from here: http://www.crochetkim.com/patterns/adultjiffy.html
Should be done hopefully today or tomorrow. I am using Red Heart Plush in the color Bluebird, so soft and am loving this yarn.

Well as promised here is the finished Rectangular Granny Square Afghan. I finished this a couple days ago and finally getting it posted.

Another Cupcake purse...

Okay these can be a little addicting. This purse is made in Caron's Perfect Match in Expresso for the cake part and tan for the frosting. I did add some beads to make it look like sprinkles. Off to finish an afghan now, will post pic when that is done.

Cupcake Purse

Made this purse which was easy peasy, just what I like!! LOL

Made in scraps of Red Heart yarn. The bottom(cake part) is in ecru and the top(frosting) is almost a baby yarn in light green. Next time I make this I am going to add some additional embelishments to it. Got the pattern from Tapanga at Crochetville. Well this has truly been a boring week. No internet for a wk. But I can say since I haven't been on, I have gotten some crocheting done. Hopefully the net will be working again. Thanks to my bil letting me hook up to his internet I can go to some of my fav. places. Oh and the anormous emails like almost 500. WOW!!!

Dream Catcher Afghan

Wow can you believe it's March 1st already? Time flies. Made this afghan for my niece. It's done in Red Heart Hot Pink and trimmed in Red Heart Monet. What a color combo!!

Now onto my next project I want to do. I am working on the Spiderman Round Afghan, so far it is pretty easy. Must be if I am on Round 10. Will post pic's of my progress.

I finally finished the quilt, will be posting the pic when I fix a few squares that are facing the wrong way. Hate that when you get something finished and you find a mistake. LOL

We are expecting another storm tonight, Ice!!! So I will have plenty of time to get things done.

Going to be starting a Dishcloth/Scrubber swap soon, can't wait to start that should be fun.
Finished my Getting to know you swap at the Swapper's Ranch. And the square along also, got only 3 of the squares complete.

February 26th...

Woke up this morning to find this. Husband and I just finished clearing it from the driveway, otherwise we wouldn't of gotten out.

Quilt is finally finished

Took me approximately 3 wks to make, of course that meant not getting anything else done.

My Quilt

Got all 400 squares made, now it's time to sl stitching them together. I have 5 rows already together!! Looking good, and so far I am liking the colors I have chosen. :)

WIP'S

Currently I am doing a quilt along at Crochet Happy forum. Have about 100 more squares to make, then I get to sl st all the squares together. My colors for my quilt is Amethyst, Monet, Light Sage and Soft White all in Red Heart yarn.
Hope to put a pic up soon of all the squares so far done. My quilt is called "Memory Star".

So anyways here is the bags of squares that I do have done. Put them in ziplock bags to keep them from getting dirty.

This is for my hubby that is going to be out in the cold for the next 2 wks., as he is learning to drive the Big Rigs. He didn't want there to be a mouth opening. It's made with an I hook, and Red Heart yarn in black.

These are some placemats that I made for a friend of mine. She wanted them blue, and square. You know how hard it is to find square placemats on the net that has a pineapple design in it? It's hard, so I used the pattern in the book called "Complete Guide to Thread Crochet". I used a size 7 hook and size 10 thread in Delft Blue, only using one strand instead of two.
